I'm actually at that exact spot but never got a quest for it. When I ordered it to self destruct it didn't do so either. Once I reach the base, it suddenly was there, it was being shot at and yet it didn't shoot back. After activating it and ordering it to go to the USAF military base (there's a quest concerning the raiders there) it just stood there. I'm assuming that large robot was found in a junkyard and you had to activate it through a tape, right? That thing was completely bugged for me. Only, upon reloading, the robot was still destroyed. Same happened after I found a large military robot, saved the game, had it self-destruct, then reloaded the game to keep it handy, just in case. After I did my whole armour up in Vault-Tec blue I saved the game, exited it and when I later restarted the game, half of my parts were pre-upgrade again, with the resources used lost as well.Ģ.
